The Specific Uses of Minerals or Elements in the Body – Fluorine [F]
November 2008: Volume 3 Number 11
Fluorine [F] -- Fluorine is a natural element, but is a poisonous gas. Yes, we have very small amounts of fluorine in our bone matrix. The government and the news media have given us to believe that Fluoride is an element that we need to help reduce dental caries, but you will not find it in the periodic charts. Stannous Fluoride (Stannous is a form of tin) is a man made compound created as a by-product of aluminum manufacturing and is a key ingredient in rat poison, which destroys enzyme functions in the rat. SodiumFluoride inhibits over 100 critically important enzyme functions and disrupts DNA repair, causes genetic damage and increases the risk of hereditary cancers and accelerates the aging process.
When sodium fluoride is placed in the stomach it changes to fluoric acid, which you can buy to remove rust stains from clothing. Fluoric acid will dissolve glass (Silica). Remember you body needs silica for the mineralization of calcium in your bones and other areas of the body. Do you really want to take Sodiumor Stannous Fluoride into your body? Your body will get plenty of fluorine in a safe form from food sources.
We will change our focus on trace minerals that are used in medicine. The first trace mineral we wll discuss is Alminum (Al) in our next lecture a a continuation of specific uses of trace minerals or elements in our bodies.
